It's been a long time. We all know what has been the problem for two years, so here's the view forward.
Two days ago I dug the suitcase up from the storage room down in the basement. It was the same suitcase, but a bit dusty. I think it even gave me a look of scorn: "I thought you had forgotten me!"
The label was from February 2020. Winter holidays that time too. Going to Pitlochry just like today. In a way the two years in between have just disappeared. No dancing, no travels, hardly any socialisation. I look forward to meeting so many of my dancing friends in just a day.
There are other things to be happy about while waiting to board: I'm back being a teacher full time. The students are just the best - we always have so much fun in class. I think I'm not cut out for an office job with only grown-ups around me. At times some students can be quite the filbbertigibbet, other times quiet and rather introvert. You get to share their ups and downs - what a privilege!
I can't wait to put my ghillies on again. With the beautiful valley and the river below, and Ben Vrackie behind you and so many other mountains, Pitlochry is just such a perfect place for dancing. And being Norwegian, I always bring my hiking gear. There are so many walks around that area, and always something new to discover.
